Pencil Sketches

city drawings
Written by Abigail Daker

There’s a few new pieces in progress at the moment but as several are taking a while to complete as I focus on a few commissions, I thought I’d post the pencil drafts. The drawings show a range of cities from Europe and North America and one thing I find fascinating about drawing different locations is that so often there’s a slight difference between which places engage me visually and which places I’d most like to visit:

Abigail Daker
ABI DAKER. ILLUSTRATOR. I specialise in creating unique, hand rendered artwork for my clients. My attention to detail and strong drawing technique means that my work is ideally suited to creating illustrated maps, panoramic cityscapes and perspective drawings. Previous commissions have included large scale graphics for vinyl wall applications and window displays, a series of wine labels and a variety of editorial and literary projects. My work reflects my interest in both the graphic and linear qualities of the world and aims to reflect these in an imaginative and engaging way. All work is drawn freehand and can be supplied in a range of digital formats and sizes. If you are seeking an illustrator with exceptional technical skills who can provide a creative solution to a brief then please do get in touch to discuss your project.
